return of Mr PH

 Uncle Woy dropped the BMUF last night, replacing him with the follically challenged Wayne Rooney, a.k.a. Mr Potato Head.  Mr PH had England’s best chance in the first half; slapping wide a header that I felt sure the BMUF would have dispatched with pony-tailed, “product” laden aplomb.  The angry Mr PH did score early in the second half, snaffling a close range header from “Stevie G’s “ cross.  Stevie’s surly demeanour continues to worry me; he always appears to be on the verge of a moan or a “yeah but they do though don’t they though” type Scouse outbreak.   The human Thunderbird Scotty Parker ran his blood to water but his tendency to try and tackle at grass level with his head is obviously not part of Woy’s “difficult to beat” philosophy.  The BMUF was thrown into the fray late on although he played more as a BMLIM (big man lurking in midfield) rather than where we want to see the big Geordie bruiser.  Still, a win is a win and all that; Woy’s men march on to play the Italians in the quarter final.  Probably should have been Spain but Sweden’s very own BMUF did for the froggies.  Can we go further?  Who knows?  One thing is for certain though; the unfathomable Jamie Carragher will still be atop of the “incomprehensible whiney Scouse accent league”; just ahead of Stevie G.
